Join Theriaults for an exceptional auction of fine antique dolls more than 400 will be auctioned in the Saturday catalog session ranging from very rare French bbs highlighted by a petite kid-bodied A.T. bb from private family owner, to rare German bisque characters including Hertel and Schwabs 111 solemn faced girl. An exceptional group of dolls formerly in the Cleveland Museum of Art collection will be sold to benefit their education department collection and includes outstanding examples of early Edo period Japanese dolls, a fine group of Chinese Wooden Door of Hope dolls, and superb wooden crib figures from 18th/19th century Europe. There are American cloth dolls, bisque mignonettes, Schoenhuts, American folk dolls, French poupes, automata, early paper mache, Sasha studio, and even a grand studio-sized dinosauer from Steiff.
